On Monday, February 26, Castle Rock Contracting will begin tree removals and trimming in the Township. The Town Board elected to proceed with Schedules “D” and “F” as shown on the attached map. This work should take about a week in total. The contractor will return for restoration in the spring when growing conditions are favorable.
The work generally involves cutting trees and grinding stumps of all trees within 10 feet of the edge of roadway. Between 10 and 15 feet of the roadway, cutting brush and small trees under 6 inches in diameter, and grinding stumps, while protecting the larger mature trees. Branches protruding into the roadway will be trimmed if coming from a tree over 15 feet from the edge of the road.
The Contractor will come back to tidy up any damage done to the ditches, and seed with a grass ditch seed mix in the spring.
Please use caution around the equipment and operations. Keep a good distance away, and keep children and animals from coming near the operations.
Please call Chris McKenzie at 763.463.5036 with any questions or concerns.
